Healthy Power Packed Meal Addition #TreatTuesday

Hello my lovely foodies…

Glad to have you back here. Today is #TreatTuesday and I am sharing with you yet another one of my healthy knick knacks!

Now, I love dry fruits.. I love the variety.. I love how different methods of preparation can take them to a totally new level..they can be added to almost any regular dish.. and they are just awesome everywhere. FUN FACT: I love golden raisins!!

So, every week along with my meal prep… I like to prepare a mixture of all my favorite dry fruits. And I like to add them to my banana oatmeal muffins, sometimes my salads, my breakfast which is the chia seed pudding and also milkshakes. They just add some texture, some nutty sweet and salty flavour to anything you add them to. You can basically add or leave any of the dry fruits mentioned below… but these are my favorite ones.

  • Raw Cashews
  • Raw Almonds
  • Golden Raisins
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Walnuts (optional)
  • Apricots (optional)

So, what you wanna do is over some medium heat, just roast your cashews and almonds.. trust me they get really yummy when roasted. After that, it’s super simple… pop all of your ingredients inside a food process/blender… and give them good 3-4 pulses… or until they break down.. but not to a powdered form..you still want them to hold their texture. And there you have it.. a really good, power packed add-on for any snack or lunch or dinner.

Sometimes, I like to roast my almonds with some sea salt.. it gives it the most amazing like sweet salty taste…sooo delicious! This mixture is full of good healthy fats and good amount of calories, so don’t worry..you won’t be messing with your daily caloric intake!

  1. My weekend was super amazing… went for a hike on saturday to a near by mountain (blog post) and Sunday was really productive.. got my meals prepped for the week and shot 2 videos for my Youtube channel..so… feeling great!
  2. I tried a new fitness class today called WillPower & Grace.. and man.. it kicked some ass! It was a muscle conditioning class with some circuit training thrown in, some yoga poses etc.. so it was really great and challenging and really helped shed some calories! 🙂

  1. We’ve got such similar food styles! Whenever I do meal-prep and use my blender, I take an extra minute to prepare mixes like this. It’s just so much more convenient than mixing them anew each day. Do you make your own granola, by chance?
    That WillPower & Grace class sounds like so much fun, especially if it combines muscle building and yoga! 🙂

    1. Thanks Evelyne ❤ No I don't make my own granola… I am actually cutting down on carbs since I am trying to loose weight.. so no granola,oats,cereal for me 😦 YES that class is amazing!
